Terms of use

What these terms cover

Gryndara (“we”) provides (1) this website — accounts, license keys, billing, and the Windows download — and (2) Gryndara Fortress OS, the software you install on a PC. By creating an account, downloading the software, or using either, you agree to this draft.

The software licence

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Gryndara Fortress OS on the number of Windows PCs your plan or beta seat allows. The software is licensed, not sold. You may not rent it, reverse engineer it except where the law says you may, or use it to provide a hosted AI service to third parties.

During the private beta the software is free and may change, break, or be withdrawn. Paid Solo and Team plans, when they launch, are per activated device. Any number of people may use one licensed PC.

Account, trial, and keys

You can download and start a 14-day trial on a PC without a website account. One trial per PC. A gryndara.com account is how you get a license key, extra seats, and billing. Keep the key secret — anyone with it can use a device seat. You are responsible for the local admin account you create on the PC; that account never comes to our servers.

Your files

Documents, prompts, and model outputs stay on your PC. We do not claim ownership of them. The privacy notice lists the license check-in fields we do receive (ids, version, health flags — never file names or content).

Acceptable use

Do not use Gryndara to break the law, to attack other systems, or to process material you have no right to process. You decide what folders the software can read. Watch-folder rules refuse drive roots and common secret locations; they are not a substitute for your own access control.

Third-party pieces

Setup can install the official Ollama engine and open-weight models from their publishers. Those components have their own licences. Ollama and Qwen names are trademarks of their owners. We are not those companies.

Updates

The installed app may check for a signed update manifest. You choose whether to apply an update. We may stop issuing keys or updates for a given build.

No warranty

The website and the software are provided “as is” during beta. We do not warrant that they are error-free, fit for a particular purpose, or suitable as the only control in a regulated workflow. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or indirect damages. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months (zero during a free beta, unless a law says otherwise).

Termination

You can stop using the software and email hello@gryndara.com to delete your website account. We can suspend a key or account for abuse, non-payment, or if the beta ends. Local files on your PC are yours; uninstall does not delete your documents.
