Changelog
What's in the Windows build.
Current published installer is 0.1.52. Download it from the download page. These notes are for customers — not the internal engineering log.
0.1.52 1 November 2026
- “What is the monthly rent”, the deposit, when the lease ends, Net 30, notice, renewal, and a campaign budget are read from the text or Word file that states them.
- Inventory value is on-hand × unit cost. Margin is revenue minus cost. “Most deliveries” counts rows marked Delivered. Overdue invoices show vendor, amount, and due date.
- A follow-up carries only the files from the last answer. Naming another file leaves the old sheet behind. A chart is shown once.
0.1.51 30 October 2026
- A year in the question stays on the sheet that has that year. “Which region” and “who was the top rep” use the sheet that has that column.
- “How much do we owe” adds the amounts and leaves out invoices already marked paid. “How many no-shows” counts the yes marks. “Hired in 2023” uses the roster’s hire dates.
- “What does it consist of” stays on the file just listed. “Anything on leases” and “files about shipping” find those files.
- Chat says “files in your inbox” instead of “indexed files”.
0.1.50 28 October 2026
- Setup refuses the user profile, Desktop, Documents, Downloads, and Windows, and it refuses a folder that already has files unless Gryndara is already installed there. An upgrade still keeps the .gryndara data folder.
- Installing an update checks the signed manifest from gryndara.com again before the app is stopped. If the site cannot be reached, the current version stays.
- A file opens with Explorer. A path that is no longer inside a watched folder is skipped.
0.1.49 27 October 2026
- Full swarm keeps a total computed from the sheet. A different number from the model is marked as not confirmed against the files.
0.1.48 27 October 2026
- A question that names a file is answered from that file. With a file pinned, “what can I do with this data” stays on that file.
- A group row above the column names is part of the name, so “Sales” over “Q1” is Sales Q1. “Total sales” adds those quarter columns.
- A quarter question uses the date column when the sheet has no Quarter column.
- A named line in a PDF is that line’s figure, not the largest total on the page. A finished PDF read is kept, so the next folder scan does not open every PDF again.
0.1.47 20 October 2026
- Two columns on one sheet can be compared, and a question can name both the highest and the lowest, or the quarter where the total moved the most.
- “Where did I save the invoice” answers with the path. “Last week” and “last month” keep a file only when a date in the file says so.
- “What temperatures” and “tell me more” stay on the files just used. A one-letter slip such as “fils” is read as “files”.
- A correction you state, such as “invoices means the Vendor folder”, is remembered on this PC and used in a later chat. A total is still calculated from the sheet.
0.1.46 19 October 2026
- “How many players hit homeruns” and “how many employees have a bonus” count the people on the sheet that has that column, where the number is above zero. “How many home runs” stays the total of the column.
0.1.45 19 October 2026
- A long procedure, PDF, Word file, deck, or email stays searchable past the first pages. The reply still quotes a short excerpt.
- “How many more,” the difference between two groups, hired before or after a year, and a change between two years are exact figures from the sheet. “Who was hired first” and “who earns the second most” name that row.
- “What’s in my files” lists your collections and opens nothing. A general question no longer opens a file just because one ordinary word appears in a long document.
0.1.44 19 October 2026
- Gryndara runs its own copy of the local AI engine. First-run setup downloads Ollama’s plain engine package, checks it against a pinned size and SHA-256, inspects every file before unpacking, and requires Ollama’s signature on the engine program. Seats already running the engine switch to it in the background at the next start. Ollama’s own app is no longer installed or started.
- The last setup step opens Gryndara at once. The model keeps downloading with its progress bar on the Dashboard, and Chat switches on when it finishes.
- “Do I have any files about sports” finds files by what they contain as well as by their names, and says which files are named for the topic and which only mention it.
0.1.43 18 October 2026
- First-run setup downloads the Ollama engine installer over eight connections at once, so a 1.5 GB download that took about an hour on a slow GitHub route now takes about eight minutes. The installer still has to carry Ollama’s signature before it runs.
0.1.42 18 October 2026
- “What do they consist of” stays on the files just listed. It does not open files from another folder.
0.1.41 18 October 2026
- “What do the files in this folder do?” stays on the folder you picked. It does not open files from other folders.
- If no folder is selected, Chat asks you to pick one instead of searching every folder.
0.1.40 18 October 2026
- “What can I do with these files” names your folders and the kinds of files in them. It does not open unrelated files.
- Ask Chat about a folder on the Knowledge Map starts a chat that stays in that folder.
- A scanned PDF is read through the document, up to the same limit as any other PDF.
- A chat whose saved conversation is gone can be removed from History.
- Opening a Word report shows the write-up. Download still gives you the Word file.
0.1.39 17 October 2026
- A count inside a named file, such as how many Paid expenses are in the expenses file, reads that sheet.
- A name like Field Notes is the row. It is not a request to list the columns.
- “What’s in that file” lists the columns of the file you already have open.
- A breakdown in Chat is a table.
- “What’s in this file” stays on the file the last answer used.
0.1.38 17 October 2026
- “Do I have any flight data” and “what invoices do I have” list the matching files. They no longer cite a row from an unrelated sheet.
- “What is in the folder airlines” lists that folder. A path with spaces around the slash stays on that folder.
- A folder name that is not in the index is reported as missing instead of listing every file.
- “How many males and females do we have in that file” still counts the sheet.
0.1.37 17 October 2026
- Stop beside Send ends the question or the full swarm and frees the model. Words already written stay on screen. Leaving the page does not stop a full swarm.
- Installing an update shows the version, the stage, and a progress bar. Leave the window open. Gryndara opens again when it finishes.
- While Gryndara is open, Ollama’s own update notice, Cloud, web search, and network exposure stay off. Downloading a model still works.
- TSV, older Excel, ODS, JSON tables, workbooks with more than one sheet, Word, PDF, and HTML answer from the file.
- A short code in a column, such as a vendor id, filters that column. The file you name is the one that is opened.
0.1.36 16 October 2026
- Totals, averages, counts, breakdowns, and lookups are computed from your files for any kind of sheet: staff, orders, stock, expenses, tasks, accounts, listings, grades, vehicles, donations.
- Ask about a name, unit, or account with no file word — “tell me about Unit 23” finds the sheet that holds it.
- Follow-ups such as “which one”, “the other one”, and “what about 2024” keep the previous question’s column and filter.
- Invoices, leases, and quotes answer who sent them, what is due, and when they renew.
- A figure the model states that is not in your files is marked “Not confirmed against your files”.
0.1.35 7 October 2026
- Pick a folder in Chat. Questions, charts, drafts, find, and compare stay inside that folder.
- A chart groups by the column you name. Bar is the default. Ask for a line or a pie.
- If that column is not in the sheet, no chart is drawn.
- A PowerPoint deck uses a real chart. Chat still shows the picture.
0.1.34 30 September 2026
- Ask for a proposal, quote, invoice, contract, email, or similar document and Gryndara opens the matching files and writes the piece.
- An email to a potential client is from that firm to someone who might hire them.
- A later “fresh proposal” still remembers the company.
- A word in a file name, such as menu or lease, opens that file.
0.1.33 30 September 2026
- System Health stays dark while a model downloads.
- Support logs scroll sideways, so you can read the end of a long line.
- Install update while Gryndara is open leaves the window in place. Your account and chats stay on this PC.
- The cursor returns to the message box when a reply finishes.
0.1.32 29 September 2026
- One conversation stays on screen when you switch agents. The next reply can use what you already asked.
- Each agent says what it does, and the one you selected keeps that sentence on screen.
- A finished report is a Word file in your Outbox. The report also downloads as PDF. Slides stay PowerPoint.
- System Health no longer flashes a white square at the bottom of the window while a download is running.
- A plan about a named document opens that document. “Then do it” writes the first piece.
0.1.31 23 September 2026
- Check for updates finishes. It no longer stays on Checking.
0.1.30 23 September 2026
- Check for updates finishes and shows the new version. A space in the install folder name no longer stops the check or the install.
0.1.29 23 September 2026
- A plan no longer stamps the same number of days on every step.
- Leave Chat while a question is running. The question stays, and the reply is there when you come back.
- A wait says Thinking, then Writing. It does not tell you to leave Pro.
0.1.28 23 September 2026
- Gryndara checks for a new version on its own. A banner lets an admin install it. Everyone else is told an admin has to do that. The tray names the new version.
0.1.27 23 September 2026
- Gryndara starts the local AI engine and does not open the Ollama app, so the llama tray icon and Ollama’s update window stay off.
- An Ollama shortcut left in the Windows Startup folder is removed, so Windows no longer asks which program should open it.
0.1.26 21 September 2026
- Each agent answers in its own shape. A plan can finish the last step, and a client email is a message you can send.
- Knowledge Map lists the folders inside a watch folder. Ask Chat about one of them stays on that folder.
- Account files lock to this Windows user on the next sign-in. Installing the update still opens the account you already have.
- Reports can delete the files you select. The team shows ready when local AI is online.
0.1.25 20 September 2026
- Watch Folders show the full path, open that folder on this PC, and list files Chat skipped.
- Each inbox shows how full the 10,000-file cap is. Your skills sit above Gryndara’s locked rules.
0.1.24 20 September 2026
- Full swarm later legs stay inside the model window on Lite (8k context).
- Context-overflow errors are plain English and name the agent that failed.
0.1.23 19 September 2026
- Processor-only PCs send work to the CPU from the first request and warm the model before Chat.
- Leftover pinned files no longer force an inbox search on a normal question.
- Full swarm is disabled on CPU-only machines. Eco says when it does not have an exact figure instead of inventing one.
0.1.22 19 September 2026
- “Hello” is a greeting. Inbox search runs when you ask about your files, not on every message.
